Selcuk  University - Faculty  of  Technology


The Faculty of Technology was called Technical Education Faculty when it was founded in 1997. The name of Technical Education Faculty was changed to Faculty of Technology in 2009, when the whole infrastructure and lecturers were transferred to this renamed faculty. Previously, the faculty has  participated in 4 EU supported Strengthening Vocational Education and Training (SVET) projects as a partner. These projects were implemented by NGO’s of the region. Additionally, the faculty was a partner of the Leonardo da Vinci Innovation Transfer Project called Self Evaluation in Konya Region. The project implementation has used CQAF as its reference. The faculty was also the partner of three European thematic networks of about 70 participants each – European Computing Education and Training (ECET), Doctoral Education in Computing (DEC) and Teaching, Research and Innovation in Computing Education (TRICE). 7 Professors, 6 Associate Professors, 8 Assistant Professors, 3 Lecturers and 20 Assistant Lecturers forms the academic team.

Konya  Provincial  National  Education  Directorate


Konya Provincial National Education Directorate is a state institution in charge of the planning and coordination of all kinds of educational and training activities from pre-school education to adult learning and training in Konya region including vocational agricultural and veterinary high-schools.
It has 31 sub-directorates, 1,421 educational and training institutions, 18,000 teachers / trainers and 397,000 students / learners. Its aim is to be a qualified, prominent institution that has reached the level to compete with equivalent institutions in Turkey and other modern countries with ensuring authentic contribution to the development of Turkish National Education System by providing effective usage of knowledge, skills, value and technology required for the contemporary Era of Knowledge. The institution has the experience and background information through its approved projects in the content of LLLP’s; Leonardo Da Vinci transfer of Innovation and partnership, mobility, Grundtvig and Youth projects.

Konya  Chamber  of  Industry


There are approximately 1,250 industrial companies registered to Konya Chamber of Industry. Chamber of Industry presents information and service for them to develop their companies and themselves, gives effort for these companies to gain competition superiority in domestic and international markets by reaching production and service presentation level at EU standards. This chamber is also responsible for providing training in order to promote the production level of the sector and help the members to be equipped with modern technologies. The Chamber has already participated in a number of MVET (Modernization of Vocational Education & Training in Turkey) projects sponsored by European Commission. In all these projects, the Chamber has acted as a mediator between the universities and industry. The Chamber has has been awarded an ISO-EN 9000 Certificate. It hosts the EU Commission funded Euro Info Center and Konya Information Technology Center.

Fundacion  Accion  Social  Y  Tiempo  Libre  Esplai


ESPLAI’s mission is promoting social inclusion trough ICT, focusing on people affected by the digital gap, as well as those at risk or social exclusion. The aim of our project is to develop training methodologies for digital literacy, addressed to these vulnerable groups, as well as helping ICT users to gain e-skills, improving especially their ability to get into the labor market. After several years initially, working only at a national level, the ESPLAI Foundation made headway and started to get involved in international projects. In the year 2009 ESPLAI got European funds for three different projects, leading two of them: 1) The Grundtvig program called “Improving key competences of citizens at risk of exclusion from the labour market” (KEYC4All) which propose is to support enhancement of basic key competences of low qualifies adults in order to improve their employability, by means of an alternative learning approach; 2) The Leonardo Program: “European VET Solution for e-Inclusion Facilitator”.

ICT  Development  Bulgaria

The ICT Development Bulgaria Association (ICTD BG) is a non-profit public benefit organization focusing on implementing research and initiatives in the field of improving citizen access to ICT’s and competitive broadband solutions, as well as raising the professional competencies of citizens through accumulation and dissemination of innovative applications and ICT-based educational content to different target groups (including community networks, local administration and SME’s).
The organization employs the participation of professionals in the fields of program management, education, innovation and research and has significant experience and expertise in the elaboration, realization and distribution of digitally-enhanced training tools and programs that foster the adaptability of adult workers to the conditions of the market.

Laboratory of Telematics  –  BAS

 

 

Technical  University  of  Crete


The Lab of Distributed Multimedia Information Systems and Applications of the Technical University of Crete (TUC/MUSIC – http://www.music.tuc.gr/) is a center for teaching, research and development in Crete, Greece. It has participated in more than 40 EU projects, in several of them as the Prime Contractor or Technical Leader. Several of these projects are related to e-Learning. It was also member of several EU Excellence Networks. The lab’s personnel is responsible for the organization and management of all the laboratories of the core courses in CS in the Electronic & Computer Engineering Department. It has also developed, and currently manages the Multimedia Open Learning Environment (MOLE – http://www.moleportal.eu), a collaborative blended learning platform for supporting and managing learning processes exploiting modern multimedia and communication technologies. MOLE has been supporting for years the ECE Department Courses and has been used in a number of EU projects (see supported projects at: http://www.moleportal.eu/).
